How the car electronic water pump works


What is an automotive electronic water pump? Automotive electronic water pumps, many new energy vehicles, caravans and other special vehicles are often used in miniature water pumps as water circulation, cooling or water supply systems on board, this miniature self-priming water pumps are collectively known as automotive water pumps.

The working principle of the car electronic water pump is like this: the circular movement of the motor, through the mechanical device to make the diaphragm inside the pump do reciprocating movement, thus compressing and stretching the air in the pump cavity (fixed volume), under the action of the one-way valve, forming a positive pressure at the drainage port (the actual output pressure size is related to the pump drainage port by the help and the characteristics of the pump);

A vacuum is formed at the pumping port, thus generating a pressure difference with the external atmospheric pressure. Under the pressure difference, the water is pressed into the inlet and then discharged from the outlet. Under the action of the kinetic energy transmitted by the motor, the water is continuously drawn in and discharged, forming a more stable flow.

Self-priming means: if the pump's pumping pipe is filled with air, the negative pressure (vacuum) formed when the pump is working will press the water below the pumping inlet under the action of atmospheric pressure, and then discharge it from the pump's drainage end. There is no need to add "priming water" before this process. A miniature water pump with this self-priming capability is called a "miniature self-priming water pump". The principle is similar to that of a miniature air pump.
